Cornell Dupree, a soul/R&B/jazz guitarist who claimed to have played on over 2,500 recordings, including recording with   Aretha Franklin, Joe Cocker, Paul Simon, Bonnie Raitt and Mariah Carey, died May 8 at his home in Fort Worth, Texas.
