The band comprises of Dimitris Tsakas on tenor and alto sax, Dimitris Christopoulos on bass and Alexandros – Drakos Ktistakis on the drums and they embraced the project as their own. A great asset to the record is Cuban vocalist Mildreys Duquesne, who did justice to the wonderful boleros of Dimitris and the very nicely “knitted” lyrics of Manolo Vega, who also sings along in 2 of the songs. Antonis Andreou on trombone and MC Yinka with his rap and lyrics were delighted to play in the CD and had a ball. Great improvisations and music playing with the out most artistry is the basis for this work by Dimitris Sevdalis, who joined this wonderful band with his amazing piano playing.

Jadeo Music and Ankh Jazz present Dimitris Sevdalis’ new CD “Lagrimas Claras” . The music is basically Boleros with a Jazz approach. The wonderful band that Dimitris put together for this project brings out all of the flavors that are mentioned above plus the great playing merges those flavors together.
