Choir and jazz vocal ensemble festival & competition in Corfu featuring vocalist Jay Clayton

Jazz vocalists, choirs and jazz vocal ensembles around the world. You are invited all to take part in a brand new choir and jazz vocal ensemble festival and competition on the beautiful Island of Corfu, on October 12-16, 2016. Organized by www.interkultur.com and Ionian University Department of Music Studies ( http://music.ionio.gr/gr/) this event will feature US artist and renowned singer-educator Jay Clayton along with international choral experts. You can take part in the competition as well as Jay Clayton’s jazz masterclass/workshop “Sing Free! – Come free your voice”.

There will also be friendship concerts around the city, a great choir parade together with brass bands from the Island and great Opening and Closing Gala Concerts in front of the Greek Temple, Interkultur offers you possibilities to sign up for Evaluation Performances and Individual Coaching sessions with international renowned choral experts. Your choir or ensemble can also sign up for a Gala Concert in Athens in the world famous venue, Athens Megaron.

The nature and the surroundings are amazing and the halls, both indoor and outdoor, are fantastic. The historic city centre of Corfu is on the list of UNESCO’s world cultural heritage.

The festival is only some months away.Take part in the World Premiere of a new festival in such unique surroundings. There are a lot of different cheap charter flights to make your travel both fast and easy.
