Eleni Valenti was born in Athens in 1980 .
She grew up into a musical family , both her parents beeing musicians of the Athens State Orchestra .
She takes her first violin and theory lessons at the age of 8. After a decade of studying classical violin she decides to move to Cologne, Germany in 2002 where she begins her musical studies in jazz singing at the Music Academy of Cologne (Musikhochschule Köln),with teachers such as Anette von Eichel, Susanne Schneider and Joachim Ulrich.
During this period of her study she attended several seminars and classes with John Taylor, Celine Rudolph, Judy Niemack, Meredith
d Àmbrosio, Kara Johnstad, Torun Eriksen, Gretchen Parlato and JD Walter .From 2002 to 2004,she sings with the Bigband of the University of Cologne.
She completed her Bachelors study in 2007 .
Together with guitarist Epaminonda Ladas she creates the ensemble  `Alchimia ` presenting original  compositions with influences from Greek traditional rebetiko and jazz music and touring  Germany, Luxembourg , Netherlands and Greece .
Since her return to Athens in 2007 she has been an active member of the greek jazz scene , appearing at the jazz festivals of Kalamata , Agrinio and Zakynthos , at the Hippocratic festival of Kos and has been performing at venus such as Gazarte, Parafono, Bacaro ,President Hotel, Hilton, Costa Navarino etc.
Meanwhile Eleni teaches Jazz Singing, vocal technique and jazz improvisation at  Ethniko Odeio and Sygxrono Odeio in athens .
