Maroussi Jazz Festival 2016 on July 2  at Amalieio theater in Maroussi, a unique jazz festival with some big  names of the Greek  jazz-swing-blues-funk  music scene. - Lives start at 19:00 - entrance 5 euros - A magical Saturday night under the Attic sky. A unique musical experience under the artistic direction of Depi Sakelariou.


 Nikolas Anadolis is one of only 5 jazz pianists who have been awarded the Grand Prix de la Ville de Paris (=1st prize) of the prestigious Concours de piano-jazz Martial Solal  in October 2010, a worldwide jazz piano contest taking place only once every 4 years. Jazzonline had the opportunity to get  an interview with this very promising young musician. He currently lives in New York where is studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston and received one of two full International Presidential Scholarships.

LAB Music Education is pleased to participate at Maroussi Jazz Festival with one of the groups created through the Band Program of the School , with repertoire traveling between jazz standards and Brazilian music . Professor - George Dafnos .

The YFG is a jazz fusion band formed by bassist-composer and arranger George Fakanas in 1991. Since then, the band has played in numerous concerts in Greece and abroad. The last three years the group has worked and played with the greatest musicians such as Dave Weckl, Mike Stern, Anthony Jackson, Frank Gambale, Dennis Chambers, Bireli Lagrene, Alex Acuna, Mitch Forman, Tony Lakatos, Eric Marienthal, Greg Howe, Horacio El Negro, Scott Kinsey, Brett Garsed, Bob Franceschini, etc. At the same time, major international music magazines have published   reviews   on Fakanas discography and classifyed him as one of the most creative and the best bass players and composers of contemporary music (American Bass Player-December issue of 2008, Bass musician magazine, Modern Drummer, Bass guitar magazine, Rhythm, etc.)
