Michael Evdemon Electric Bass Michael Evdemon was born in Athens, in 1978. He has studied privately with Yiotis Kiourtsoglou, George Fakanas and Anthony Jackson and has attended clinics from various renowned artists of international caliber, including Tom Kenedy, Victor Wooten, Mike Stern and Billy Sheehan. Michael is an active session musician, acting as a sideman for various artists including Marinella, Costas Chatzis, Costas Karafotis, Natassa Theodoridou, Christos Thivaios, Anna Linardou, Takis Bourmas, Anna Bourma, Niko Zoudiaris, Apostolis Rizos, Notis Mavroudis, Christoforos Krokidis, Miltos Paschalidis, Costas Lemonidis, George Theofanous, Alex Foster, 48 hours band, Apostolia Zoi, Vasso Dimitriou, Stefanos Dimitriou, Dimitris Pantelias and Irene Ketikidi among others, touring in Greece, Cyprus, UK and the USA and having performed at almost all major music venues in Greece, playing jazz and rock music. In 2014, he will be completing his personal music project called “The Good Demons”, featuring 11 original compositions and musicians Bill Kallistridis on drums and Vaggelis Paraskevaidis on vibraphone. Besides gigging and recording, Michael is also teaching privately bass guitar along with jazz harmony and theory since 2004, is a professor at the Modern Music School of Athens and has published a book called “Structure and organization of musical information”, a conscious and systematic approach of studying music by focusing on the brain mechanics of the improvising musician. Michael is endorsed by Gamma Guitar Workshop basses (Hermes model) and Jam Pedals (Waterfall chorus/vibrato & Delay Lama). Michael is writing music and/or participates in the following ensembles: The Good Demons (Jazz Trio), O3 (Jazz Trio), Press Esc (Rock), Irene Ketikidi Band (Hard Rock).
