Panagiotis Athanatos was born in Athens in 1990. He started playing the guitar at the age of 14. After completing his diploma course in the prestigious Philippos Nakas Conservatory in Athens, studying under Yiotis Samaras, he has led numerous small bands in local gigs and festivals, collaborating with the most prominent musicians of the Greek Jazz scene (Spyros Panagiotopoulos, Pantelis Benetatos, Kostas Konstantinou etc). As a sideman he has toured and recorded with various singers and instrumentalists in Greece and the United Kingdom. In 2015 he moved to Groningen, The Netherlands to study as an undergraduate student at the Prins Claus Conservatory. There he had the chance to study under some of the most prominent jazz musicians of New York and the Netherlands including Spike Wilner, Paul Bollenback, Jonathan Kreisberg, Mark Gross, Joris Teepe, Adam Nussbaum etc. In 2016 he created the Snow White Quartet and performed in various clubs in the Netherlands. Currently he is in the process of recording his first album.
