Alexander Orfanos was born in Athens. From 1976 he began studying in harmony solfez, morphology and theory of music at Athens Conservatory. He graduated in 1988 .He continued his studies in modern harmony and piano at the Central Conservatory of Athens with Kostas Klavva. As, great talent he went to Berklee College of Music in Boston, from where he graduated with honors as a pianist composer and performer with a special commendation for his outstanding ability in Jazz performance. He has worked with famous Greek musician such as Ellie Paspala, Christos Leontis, Kostas Hatzis and Alexander Xatzis, and with Greek Jazz musician such as Dimitri Vassilakis and Anthony Ladopoulos.
