Stephanos Chytiris (b. 1985, Athens/Greece) is a drummer working between New York and London. He has performed alongside Daniel Carter, Ingrid Laubrock and Todd Neufeld among other musicians of the contemporary scene.

Stephanos has been mentored by master drummer Michael Carvin, who recently produced his personal debut album, "PYR|N", featuring the Flux Project and released in September 2014 in NYC. His previous releases include "To Pempto Sfyri" (2013) with Nikos Erinakis und die Haken, as well as the digital LP "Mikres Praxis I : New York" (2013), a solo project. Having studied in Greece, UK and the US, Stephanos also holds a BFA in Jazz Studies, a BA in Communication & Music and a Postgraduate Diploma
in Sound Curating.

At present, Chytiris focuses on a series of projects of his own; the Flux Project features pianist Bram De Looze, bassist Luca Rosenfeld, saxophonist Daniel Carter, guitarist Todd Neufeld and actress Callirroe Myriagou. He also directs 'EGATA', featuring pianist Rema Hasumi, saxophonist Ingrid Laubrock, trompeter Joe Moffet, cellist Lester Saint-Louis, guitarist Todd Neufeld and bassist Pascal Niggenkemper. Since 2013, Stephanos co-leads the XK duo, with guitarist Dimitris Kokkinogenis.
