Violinist

The violinist Maria Manousaki is an international artiste, active in the Jazz and World Music scene.She received a scholarship for the Berklee College of Music conservatory in Boston, where she graduated with honors. Maria has appeared in many prestigious events around the world,and has performed in auspicious venues including the Perth Concert Hall in Australia, the Frank Sinatra School of The Arts in New York the MoMA museum of modern arts and the closing ceremony for the Mediterranean Olympic Games in Pescara Italy.In Dubai she performed her music for the International Film Festival in 2005 and 2006 and she played for the Royal wedding in Qatar.
Maria opened the Pet Shop Boys concert at the Lykavitos Theatre in Athens Greece.
Amongst her collaborations is one with the well known gypsy jazz group Rosenberg trio.
She is a member of “Drumvoice” with which she has appeared around Europe.
In 2011 she formed her 2 latest groups called “The Stephane Grappelli Project”, which is dedicated to the music performed by the great jazz violinist, and the Athens Experiment performing original music.
Maria was also the founder and composer of the all female electric string trio Ccbonnes, performing at private functions and events.
Maria has performed voluntarily on many occasions for a charitable organization whose purpose is to arouse public awareness of reckless driving and road fatalities.
Her personal album entitled “From South To The Moon” is available online.Maria currently lives and works as a freelance musician in New York City.
