Tasos Dritsos was born in Pireas. He started to play electric bass during the eighties with several rock and blues bands.In 1984 he started studying double bass at Athens Conservatory. At the same time he studied jazz music theory and continue live performance with several musicians and jazz groups.Since the nineties, he is an energetic member of the Greek jazz scene making appearances in festivals, concerts & jazz clubs in Greece. Since 2008, Tasos Dritsos on bass, along with the guitar player Andreas Gomozias and drum player Christos Andrianos, have formed a blues band called BLUES REVENGE — which now is considered one of the most important and active blues bands in Greece.
