Your voice: it’s your instrument. Explore the world of contemporary vocal music in your choice of style: pop/rock/country, R&B, jazz, gospel.. Open to vocalists, singer-songwriters, and instrumentalists who sing, this four-day program will provide you with instruction in vocal technique, style, performance skills, singing with a band, group singing, and a cappella performance. Teachers: Brian Zalmijn – Steven Kowalczyk Santoro, top performers and faculty of Berkee in collaboration with Marina Satti and Sofia Lazopoulou, faculty of Philippos Nakas Conservatory. Attendance is free.


French-American singer  MADELEINE PEYROUX began her career as one of the street musicians in Paris’s Latin Quarter when she was just a teenager. Last September, The Grammy-nominated vocalist’s released her eighth album Secular Hymn. She talks to Jazzonline.gr few days before her performance in Athens.


Nikolas Anadolis
is one of only 5 jazz pianists who have been awarded the Grand Prix de la Ville de Paris (=1st prize) of the prestigious Concours de piano-jazz Martial Solal in October 2010, a worldwide jazz piano contest taking place only once every 4 years. Jazzonline had the opportunity to get an interview with this very promising young musician who has already been showered with acclaim!

Sara Gazarek

In a community teaming with startlingly gifted young singers, Sara Gazarek is a stand out. Walking the paths of Ella Fitzgerald, she captivates the audience and converts each live in a unique experience. On her fourth album and debut for the Palmetto label, “Blossom & Bee,” Gazarek and her band have crafted a program of emotionally expansive standards, inspired contemporary fare, and uncommonly memorable originals.


Jazz vocalists, choirs and jazz vocal ensembles around the world. You are invited all to take part in a brand new choir and jazz vocal ensemble festival and competition on the beautiful Island of Corfu, on October 12-16, 2016. Organized by www.interkultur.com and Ionian University Department of Music Studies ( http://music.ionio.gr/gr/) this event will feature US artist and renowned singer-educator Jay Clayton along with international choral experts. You can take part in the competition as well as Jay Clayton’s jazz masterclass/workshop “Sing Free! – Come free your voice”.
