With three Grammy Awards and more than 80 albums to his credit, Ramsey Lewis has been the leading figure of the jazz scene for over 50 years, playing music with a warm, open personality that’s allowed him to cross over to the pop and R&B chart.In the mid 60’s, Lewis was the nation’s most successful jazz pianist, topping the charts with “The ‘In’ Crowd” and “Hang On Sloopy”. Both singles each sold over one million copies, and were awarded gold discs.
