Berklee’s Vice President for Global initiative Matthiew Nicholl is visiting the Philippos Nakas Conservatory – 19 and 20 December 2017
Composer, arranger, orchestra conductor Matthew Nicholl, is visitingPhilippos Nakas Conservatory in his capacity as Berklee’s Vice President for Global Initiatives but also as a Teacher.
M. Nicholl is a well-known composer of important documentaries for National Geographic, NASA and others, composer of America’s presidential election campaigns and major advertising campaigns and broadcasts, versatile writer. He will be teaching in orchestration seminars, with the participation of a 10-piece wind and rhythm section music ensemble of the Philippos Nakas Conservatory. The orchestrations to be presented belong to students of the Modern Music Department of the Conservatory.
On the second day of his stay, M. Nicholl will teach students of the Conservatory transmitting his knowledge and experience from his professional life, and position at Berklee.
This two-day honorary visit will end at 19:00 on Wednesday 20th December with a jam session at the nakas café, with the participation of students and teachers of the Conservatory, who will, among other things, honor M. Nicholl playing on his own music.
